Scotchcast^TM powders by 3M

Powders based on epoxy resin for electrical insulation.


Properties :

• Excellent electrical insulation (excellent edge coverage)
• High cut-through resistance
• Fast curing
• Good temperature resistance (up to class H: 180°C)
• Good mechanical properties
• Good adhesion onto the substrate

Possible application processes:

• Hot dipping in a fluidised bed
• Venturi spray system
• Electrostatic fluidised bed
• Electrostatic spraying

Polymerisation at 200-220°C.


Application examples : insulation of toroids, rotors, stators, bus bars...
