Since January 1997, Tetrachim Distribution has been the sole distributor for EMC shielding products, inks, dry lubricants and graphite coatings from Acheson Colloids in France. Shielding an electric or electronic device with a plastic enclosure allows the device to function properly without the risk of electromagnetic interference with other systems. The increasing use of electrical equipment with microprocessors
has led Acheson Colloids to develop a range of shielding coatings and
inks designed for flexible and rigid circuits. Acheson Colloids have
also developed wear resistant graphite coatings and dry lubricants. The shielding products of Acheson Colloids consist in
a dispersion of conductive pigments (silver, copper, nickel or graphite)
in a binder. These coatings can be sprayed on plastic substrates to
form a conductive layer and are dried at 70°C.
Acheson Colloids inks are applied with screen-printing
techniques. They can be either conductive (silver or graphite) or insulating.
They are applied in several tracks to build circuits on flexible or
rigid substrates. They are cured between 120°C and 150°C by UV or IR.
These products are a dispersion of solid lubricants (PTFE,
graphite or MoS2) in solvents or water with a binder. They are applied
by spraying and are dried or cured (between 70°C and 200°C)
to build conductive, low friction and wear resistant coatings.
